I'm Olivia and I write plays, prose, and screenplays.

I'm originally from Columbus, Ohio, and I'm an alumna of The Ohio State University, where I graduated with a BA in Theatre in 2020. During this time, I wrote and produced my first three plays: being alive (& other big jokes), Thelma & Louise Make It To Mexico, and Living Primates, the third of which I won a grant to produce with my collaborator, director Ben Fisher. I was also awarded the Undergraduate Student Excellence Award in Production Work by the Ohio State Department of Theatre and won the 2019 Gerald R. Black Prize for Recognition of Excellence in Playwriting.

Since then, I've written three more full-length plays and many short plays, some of which I've produced with my theatre company, Obvious Child Productions. I've also published several short stories and essays. Most recently, my play being alive (& other big jokes) completely sold-out its West Coast Premiere run at The Raven Playhouse in Los Angeles, and I published Misanthropocenemy debut chapbook of fiction and creative nonfiction, with Bottle Cap Press.

I'm a member of the Dramatists Guild and I spend my free time knitting beautiful sweaters and hot gluing sequins to plastic containers I can't bear to throw away. You can download my resume here.
